Description

...actually this started out as something completely different - as a simple animation experiment with wind on Vue vegetation. After I finished the (simple) scene and the short, successful test, I kind of liked the basic setup, and thought: This should be an orchard, with fruit trees and everything. Well, I didn't have any fruit trees - but then it hit me: Could they be made with Vue leaf materials, converted to ecosystems with imported fruit objects? Yes, they can :) Vue5I. Groundcover is eco work with plants made in the Vue plant editor - apart from the flowers, which are from Toucan. Trees are modified Vue trees, with fruits applied as ecosystems. House is freestuff by "zippy" - thanks a lot! 2 hrs render in "Ultra" with Global Ambience. Comments etc. very much welcome and appreciated. Hav a very nice day - Lars

Beautiful scene with a clever use of ecosystems. I'm new to Vue but hope to try this. I saw someone do a cherry tree this way also.

Great work. Detail in the customised eco systems is outstanding. Sky could do with some working though!

This is a tremendous piece of work. I love the way you have also given the impression of a very carefully angled photograph, as though you were responding to the environment, rather than the environment being your (very inspired) creation.

Very realistic. Reminds me of my grand-parents' place in Normandy. Spent a lot of summers there when I was a kid Eating fruits under the trees

Hey, I think you're teasing us. Spill the beans pal, just how did you get my cottage into the middle of a photograph, hmmm? Okay though, one criticism, I'm thinking you possibly slightly over did the reflection mapping on the cottage window glass.

I never seen this image from you. This image was made back in 2006, I gotta say you did very well on that image for the time being. I just read your notes, looks like it was made in the first generation of ecosystems (version 5).
