Hi, I'm Dave :^)
I've learned that Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration! I started CGA as a hobby early 2004. This site is huge, so if you have seen any of my material, then thank you for taking the time.
BIO:I'm a widowed Electronics and Software design Engineer living in Southern California, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
My late wife Robin.. passed in 2003 after 31 wonderfully married years, the last 7 of which Robin was in poor health. I miss my Babe so much...
I'm working with Poser5, Bryce5.5, Wings3D, PSP-10 and CorelPaint8.My mother (Elnor) is also on this site as Silkylady. If you get a chance, please drop by her gallery and see her work.
Finally, remember these words of wisdom:
1) Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.2) If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems will look like nails.3) It's amazing what can be accomplished when one doesn't know what one can't do.4) Very few know how much one must know in order to know how little one really knows.5) Give a man fire and you heat him for awhile. Set a man on fire and he is heated for life.6) Complexity is a set of things that we figured how to do right, one built on top of the other, until failure is achieved.7) Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.8) Marriage is a place where you can be wrong in ways you never thought possible.9) If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him.. is he still wrong?10) If at first you don't succeed, then cover up all previous attempts that failed.
Please enjoy your visit! Dave :^)(AKA: 'davidoblad','DLO')

Time will tell who is right; spaghetti, 'overwhelming evidence' of traditional science, or an omnipetent. You roll your own dice and go with what you want. One will offer you sauce on your pasta, the other nothing, the latter eternal peace. I'm going with the eternal peace reward. If I'm wrong all I lose is an good meal. If those who choose the others are wrong they, well..... Sorry but you threw the soap box out there.

Well young fella we had the Karate Kid and now why not the Spaghetti Kid we do progress and move forward don't we. That costume is a cooks fashion statement. Without a doubt anything goes in LA-LA land. I'm all for it, what ever it is your talking about. On a linear front, yes Dave I am going linear here Glass Support Beams do not lend themselves well to structural strength and integrity. As to the utilization of Glass Columns they do take the load in compression however these are still not highly recommended in any structure of this size. Structural shatter or pulverization is an issue to consider. Moving back to the artistic level this all looks perty snazzy. Long live the Kid where ever he may roam. What"s he talking about you threw the soap box out there? I don't see a soap box ! Is there something serious going on here that I'm not aware of. Rock-N-Roll young fella the band doesn't stop for any man, woman. or beast including the Spaghetti Kid !

Hey where's the meat balls and the sausage? It's good to see that you are alive and well.....wait....did I say well? Who said you are "well"? LOL!only you Dave, only you could do this! LOL! Spsgettie monsters huh!? I will have to check this out. I have a question though, wouldn't water be a detriment to them? Is that spaghetti in the middle of the pool or a captured being about to meet his demise when the spaghetti King hits the button and boils the water? That puts a visual on "being in hot water!" Love the colors and the lighting!Spaghetti colums are cool too! Well now...every religon needs a temple and it's so good to see that you are kind enough to provide them with one. It must be kind of hard to pass the basket when all your followers are a little "stiff". LOL! This was fun...will check out the links... have a wonderful day! (( HUGS ))) Michelle

I love your glass stained windows in this temple. The lighting is terrific in this post. I'm a little bewildered on the spaghet end of this religion, and the animal dude, so I;ll leave it to the higher authorities for this judgement, like yourself. Love this pic...Silkylady...

The FSM looks a little befuddled with all this attention! At least he has his rubber ducky! ;) And you said you were not religious! LOL!
elusive-butterfly
You are sooooooooo funny, I love the rubber ducky. The temple and the water! are beautiful, I love the colors. I'm with silkylady with the religion part, who knows. But I always look forward to finding the hidden jokes that your mind puts into your art work. Be it play on words or hidden meanings, I love your talents and your mind so much even if some of the hidden corners are kinda scary. Your the best xxxooo
