Sorry for the crass language but I get steamed up when people do these stupid things.
I came across this set of pics taken on my second outing with the camera at Blackburn Lake in Melbourne Australia. I do have better shots of duckies & a pelican there that I will post later,(I hadn't realised until later that I had my slooooooow shutter speed on for the first few pics) but this was the pic at the time and hey I'm not shy about showing dud stuff if it is for a reason.
After taking the pic in the thumbnail, I put my back pack on the seat and was swamped with feathered mayhem demanding the 'toll'. I could only wonder at the stupidity of humans as a mum and her kids walked past the sign, one kid leaving his lunch wrap on it, and then tossing out their crusts to the birds.
I felt like saying something but they were rather obnoxios, and after a bout of ill health at the time I wasn't up to a fight. I think they felt offended that I was there so I just stayed to cheese them off more, snapping away at the birds, ignoring thier 'hints' until they left in a huff.
I hope the ratbags got a good dose of indigestion or bird shit on thier car! grrrrrrrrr!
Now that I have had my gripe...sorry...I hope you all have a great weekend.

I am constantly fighting my inner sense of justice, to refrain from throttling these morons! The real mproblem is there are so damn many of them! Everywhere you turn!! I can totally understand your frustration! You did the right thing, and quite brilliant actually, non confrontational, yet effective. Ghandi would have been proud!! Our problem lately has been that it has been until recently, very hot out, and you wouldn't belive how many idiots are taking their dogs with them in cars! Or running long distances (1-3 miles) with the dog!!! Grrrr.. Good post!!

I know what you mean and it sure is anoying! rolls eyes I guess you got some good pics though and that's what counts ;) Oh yeah and dont let any people deture you from having your fun! Oh well it's 2:38 a.m here... think I better head off to bed ;)

G'night Short ribs, I do have a few nice recipes...one with grapes is good. But it is more the blatent stupidity and the plastic lunch wrap flying away didn't set me in a good mood either...sighs rather deeply I do believe that what goes around comes around so I will calm my ruffled feathers:o) Night all.

Very effective. People don't realize that the food they give the ducks are without nutrition, and do not have the proper elements needed to keep the birds healthy. (white bread) I do say something to the uneducated or ignorant now, because of the care the wildlife needs. BIG HUGS!! Thanks for sharing.
