Description

First effort at creating a turbulent sea using a terrain. Thanks to Caligula00 on 3DC for the water mat. Boat from bryceworld.se. I think the image needs some lighting, but that's a bit beyond me at this stage. Oh - and just pretend there's someone steering the boat!

The sea adds up coherently and incoherently. It has synchronous and asynchronous symmetries and assymmetries. If the wind is a a statistical mechanics of collisions then the water is molecules dragged kicking and screaming with it's tops blown off. (Does this describe a fractal map?)

This is a pretty good first attempt at making a turbelent sea. I think the lighting is fine and suits the situation. The scene can sometimes look much more dramatic with this type of lighting. By the time you read this you will probably have become an expert in the use of light and shade. Excellent work!

Sense of power and danger of the sea is shown well in this "wall worthy" artwork!!!
