Description
Taken at the Earthshaker Festival in Germany July 2006. I was in the third row (of about 20,000 people) and got a number of good shots. This one captures the entire band and the feel of the show. Edguy's performance was delayed by about an hour due to a massive thunderstorm. Let me tell you, running through a field in torrential rain, booming thunder and numerous lighting strikes keeps you on your toes! Edguy made up for it with a killer show once the storm subsided.
I have quite a few pictures from heavy metal concerts but have seen few posted on Renderosity so I wondered if it was frowned upon. Lately there seems to be more so if you like I'll post some more as well.

Fabulous shot, the atmospherics really take this to another level. You're right, I don't see many metal concert shots either! Wonder why that is?

Excellent capture!!! I love the colours! I used to listened to this kind of music when I was a teenager, and I became... a jazz singer can you believe that? Bravo!!!

So who else played at the festival? I spent a lot of time mixing Metal bands during the 90's..That type of music still gets the blood flowing for me.. Even tho I find my self listening to a lot of new country lately.. Good to know Metal still lives...

push-man metal never died in fact it is bigger now than it was in the 80's it just isn't widely promoted in the US. been into metal since the 80's myself and i still listen to stuff that is harder than most of the people half my age here in the US listen to. saw the edguy/hammerfall show in 2005. been listening to edguy since about 97' already got tickets to the blind guardian/leaves eyes show coming up in nov. keep the concert pics coming m/(^_^)m/
