Description

The above title relates to the last part of the flight. An idyllic scene, but preparing for the uglier business of warfare ahead. If we don't get some more images up then this page seems likely to disappear. Help! Somebody else post something that's got wings on!!! Cheers all. W.

Great image you have made. I have been trying to find an airplane hanger of about the same period but am having no luck. :(

And one has to wonder who is the most nervous: the student or the instructor. grin. Like the perspective on this one--as well as the subject.

Thanks Iloco, I had exactly the same problem. Old hangars usually had curved roofs, but this didn't look quite right so I dreamed up my own airfield buildings to balance out the aircraft a bit.

This is a superb aviation image ! Great lighting and scene composition ! Are you talking about the aviation genre gallery ? Well, after the image, i'm working on right now (... with a ship ... :)...) i'll come and help out. I will try to come up with a few renders fitting in the aviation genre pretty soon ;-) !

Quanset building type curved roofs? Thinking back to the old airfields of my youth I recall the hangers as having more like barn type roof covers. I suppose that would depend on weather & climate though. Your work is always on a scale of five - plus - two thumbs up & a big grin. :-)!
