Description

Hello all! This was not a prop shot, set up in anyway or posed for but the real thing from a visit to a farm . Here Grace, the cowgirl is talking to my Mom , I had just been investigating that old barn ( taking pics got a pic of nell with a read old tractor in there ) and also from chasing wild baby kittens through the maze of hundred year old tractors , cobwebs and spiders LOL then made my way back to the front of the barn and there I saw her silhoutte -in 11 am morning light standing there like the picture that she was with her reigns on her back big smile and cowboy hat . She didn't even know I had taken shot this till later. ( She had just gathered up the reins to take my girls horseback riding bareback and was waiting for me to get back from my inner barn adventures lol .) -taken with my little nikon 7900 pocket cam! I know a little of the background was slightly washed in a few areas with the bright bright sun comming in but it still did it for me for some reason - guess I just liked this silhoutte here - hope you like it too! Thank you for all your time and comments. Still down with a bad tooth so sorry if I am not getting to everyone in comments lol I can only last so long before the pain meds set in !! haha Love to you ALL !! ((( BIG HUGS ))) ~! ♥ :O) ~! :O)

I really dont know how you get these incredible shots of opportunity, but I think it has something to do with the fact you were meant to photograph the world in your amazing style! I just hope the European cowgirls don't get jealous! LOL! The lighting is just perfect and really brings the best out of the composition without postwork that most of us use as a crutch. There is absolutely no doubt in your abilities to deliver such superb images, and your descriptions on each and every image are just the best, Kimmers! If I did my artwork like you, I'd be thrilled! You have an eagle eye for the perfect shot no matter where you go, and it's just fantastic to live through your eyes! Outstanding work and this is how the West was won! *****

Very nice. I like how you almost wondern if this is a black and white...but then see all those other colors in the background. Makes it feel warm. Great shot!

Excellent pic. Backlit pictures are hard to do and you managed to come up with one terrific picture. I agree with Shardz that your ment to photograph the world through those artistic eyes of yours..great work Kimmers.

I always wanted to be a cowgirl. Unfortunately, I moved to Hawaii instead. Lovely shot, makes me want to go to Arizona or somewhere. Aloha and thanks for commenting on my gallery. Much appreciated. Have a great holiday weekend.

Swish some Jim Beam around your tooth, it will not cure your pain but make it tolerable till you see a dentist. A miracle anti-pain drink. Aloha

YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! If theres something i love...its a cowgirl pulling her weight on a hardworking farm. I love this shot Kimmie. The silhoutte is just great, as is the warm tones. It has some grain however that i think would be less visible if you just scaled it down a bit. Its really no need for it to be this big...is it? Have a wonderful day! #:o)

Lovely shot, kimarie - I think the brightness in the background has complimented the cowgirl - making the outline more precise. I quite liked how the boots came out shiny in this photo. I sympathise with you regarding the sore tooth - I had a real bad one a couple of months ago - that no pain killers or the pain relief gel could help mask the pain ... turned out I need to do a root canal ... but the pain is nothing compared to a bad ear ache but that's another story ha ... ha ... I ain't laughing right now. :) Cheers Tina - and thank you for sharing your wonderful photos with the rest of us :)

It's a cool shot Kimmers! It is a nice silhouette, but my eyes actually first go the the back of the lighted shovel on the wall. That intrigues me for some reason. :0)
