Description

Saw this little Rosella out the window as I went to leave for work. Took a couple of snaps, sorry for any blurry-ness but the window was a bit...umm...grotty, (sigh)I knew if I opened the door to outside he would fly away at the noise so this is the best I could get for you all so enjoy. all comments welcome as always. Have a good week. Jenny Canon A94 Powershot and a little post work on the smudges and tweaking of the saturation & hue in Canon's PhotoImpression.

The contrast of the bright red of the bird against the sea of green, is wonderful! Must be a male? They always seem to stand out, easy targets for predators, while the females usually blend into the background and are protected? Isn't nature funny? Men are expendable! LOL...

A great capture, I wish we had birds like that flying around here, most of our common birds are very drab.

Hey Piet, we have bright birds and you have lions and elephants. I think your native wildlife wins there my friend!!! ;-}
