Ultrafractal 4.03 Here's another one of my "geofractal" meanderings inspired by the great stuff created by Joe Presley (joefraq) and especially by a recent work by Jock Cooper that I just dropped to my knees (and that's hard to do sitting at a desk - lol) when I saw it. I tried to give a subtle vibe like the Sunshine Skyway bridge that goes across Tampa Bay here in Florida. I don't know about Jock's, but I know from plying him with like a 12-pack and a half of beer that Joe uses the "IFS-Barnsley+Jock III" formula in the "jock.ufm" folder, so that's what I'm trying to get a handle on. Tough searching to get these angular shapes! This is a tweak of my recent "Venezia" image with extra stuff and some different colorings since it gave me a good starting point with angular "geoshapes". This is nowhere near what these guys have done and I need to get a handle on the coloring (browns are "in" with art contest judges and buyers) but it's a start. I opted against the "oil paint" texturing this time because it didn't look good with the jaggies in the "water" - I'll have to render this guy much bigger and with maybe a higher bailout to see if they go away. This is the best thing about being a member of an art community is the exposure to all sorts of great influences and ideas.
