Description

I've decided to post some of my photos that I took throughout the summer. Kind of a "What I Did This Summer" essay. :-) I will start the way our summer started here in upstate NY....with rain! Lots and lots of rain that seemed to want to fall right wherever I happened to be!! These two shots were taken from a window where I work looking out at Glens Falls, NY, just as a raincloud broke over the friendly little city. I couldn't decide which one to post so I'm posting both. Also, I purchased a secondhand flat screen monitor today and now I'm paranoid about the truthfulness of the colors. So..please let me know if this looks totally blue, red, green or a nice mixture please. :-) Also, this screen seems to be a bit darker than my old one so I'm wondering about the brightness and contrast as well. I will really appreciate any comments on how all of these factors show up for you on these two pics. :-) Hope you all have a great weekend and that you will enjoy my little photo essay on my summer. (((Hugs))) and thank you so much for all of your comments on my last two pictures, ~*~maggie~*~

The trees are pink, the sky is yellow and the builds are....lol....the colors look pretty true for a cloudy day. Your pic could be of here lately..We've had a lot of rain the past two months after one of the worst droughts on record....Well my daughter, I'm looking forward to the rest of your essay..

The colours look very typical (and true) for this type of weather. The top one appeals more to me as far as composition is concerned: it has an element of contrast between the light area above the hills and the darker shower. Overall the sky of the top one is darker, it also look better to me. That in a nutshell is my humble opinion, lol!

I love upstate NY, at least the part I have seen. looks like a marvelous town. what surprised me was here in the mid USA always heard that New Yorkers are not friendly, but I found out different on both my trips there. I have a good quality monitor(LCD) and your colors looks perfect to me

Wonderful shots both Mags... They are wonderful colors, the dark of the rain clouds in contrast to the colorful buildings... excellent shots both as you can see where the rain is coming forth... Love stormy days...

Looks perfect to me...the colors and contrast look just right.I'd say you did good on your purchase.Lovely shots,Maggie.I think I prefer the bottom one, unlike Piet. There's something about the compo I find more appealing, but both are great. Glad to see you posting, and sorry this took me a while.Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week,sweetie.-M :^)
