Description

I had started this image for the Frazetta Reflections contest a bit too late and only now got to finish it completely. It's all Bryce except for the signature and I added a bit of Xero's iridium effect (freebie). I also used one of Chaya's obj models on the steps. Ended up winning the contest with Neanderthal admist heavy competition. Got 70% off e-on software so I chose Vue5Esprit. Does this mean I will leave the Bryce gallery? I don't know. Do you know others who have left Bryce behind? I do like the global lighting look of Vue images but I am addicted to my Bryce. There's another reflections contest with a different artist this month so go on over and check out the September prize list for the competitions: http://dreamslayerartworks.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=3372

Congratulation Nancy I still remember that excellent piece of work. If you leave Bryce well... one has to move on. (Thanks for your constant input working on the last one right now) Love the snake pit light and colours are fantasic. Who is that guy hoovering in the back? Ups, sorry he is not hoovering, he is standing on the stairs. ( too dark? Well,... who I am to judge)

WOW, scary...! Congratulations on the win!! I know a few who left Bryce more or less for good (heretics!)... as long as you keep creating these wonderful images, I don't mind what software you use :)

Perhaps just a touch dark on my monitor, but nothing to detract in any meaningful way. The texture work on the serpent is just A-One, top notch. The lighting's very dramatic, and the overall composition terrific. Really nice job!!

That is one big snake. Very nicely lit. I like how the iridium filter makes the patterns in the stones blend in with the snake's scales. Congrats on winning the contest; I'm sure you'll do great work in Vue.

Use both...but never give up your Bryce addiction...I'd be SO dissappointed! This is an amazing tribute to the master...this one could have won you the comp as well! :) I read all the Conan books as a kid so images like this hold a special place in my imagination and heart. Awsome lighting too.
