Description
Captured at the South Coast Botanic Garden, just about a year ago, on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, California.
I believe it's a dahlia...if not, Terrypom will set me straight on the name.

A firecracker variety I would bet. I think you are right as to the dahlia but I am not quite sure since I am not familiar with all the different varieties. Very nice.

You sure you didn't get that from MrsLubners garden? Nice shot though, and the colors are fabulous! Sorry I can't help with the identification of it, if it's not plastic, or looks like a cactus I'm out of ideas. Nice work goodoldboy!!!

What a beautiful Dahlia. Grandmother used to grow them in all colors and other than the earwigs that usually took them over they were very much enjoyed. HUGS!!
