Description
Prelude
Most of the group of friends have just returned to Athens from a glorious adventure on a trip up the Nile in ancient Egypt. As a welcome home treat, Elgon has treated them all to dinner at the local Taverna Athena.
Into the late night, they reveled and told of their adventures and exploits. Eventually they tire and each drift off to their own homes for rest and relaxation. Each wanted only peace and quiet from their exciting adventures as they slept and prepared for the new coming day. No one suspected that the morning would bring a new adventure.

Waking: by Clio Aristocratos
Clio slowly opened her eyes and realized that she slept much later than she usually did. She stretched and thought how wonderful it was to be sleeping in her own bed in her own home. Even Daphne, curled up in the sun, seemed to be content being at home.
Clio thought back to the dinner in the Taverna last night and how wonderful it was to have that last time with her friends. Yet as lovely as it was to spend time with them, it was also comfortable to be alone without the constant companionship of others.
Sighing, she realized what a big job she had ahead of her.
When she got back from the Taverna, she found all of her bundles, bags and parcels piled inside her shop. She started the process of unpacking, but as the dimness turned to dark, she decided to put it off until morning.
She had unpacked her new tapestry bobbin and placed it by her loom. She had gotten out some of the fabric she purchased. Later today she would go see Niobe and see if she could make a deal. Perhaps Niobe and Amitresa would make some of the fabric into a new chiton for her in exchange for the other piece of Egyptian linen.
She needed to get some fresh food into the house; she needed to get back to her loom. She still had the next altar cloth for the Parthenon to complete. After her trip to Egypt, she had some ideas of how to make it a bit more unique.
"Come on Daphne! It is time we both went downstairs and began our day" Clio said to the cat.
Slipping on a clean tunic and putting on her sandals, Clio headed downstairs.
She could dimly see the pile of luggage mounded in the middle of her workroom. Opening the shutters would let in the light necessary for her to see what she had to do.
As the sunlight began to stream into the room, she turned and looked and began to scream.
