Description

@ Zacko - what can I do to make yesterday's shot "perfect"? Was it the background? @ Yaguar - When I open my built in flash the camera (350D) defaults to 1/200 shutter speed and no amount of changing the ISO or aperture helped - I also used a torch (warm light) tungesent (sp), fluresent (sp) and bedside lamp and the lighting was still not enough. I'm gonna try an outdoor sunny day shoot one day. Maybe on the weekend... Tx for all the views yest. As you can see today's shot is seriously different - I was inspired by Yaguar and his dark edits. Granted this only took me about 30mins - I like it - layers and inverts and erasing and blurs and brushes went into the work of this one. The main idea is still there - but seriously creative more than photographic perfection. @ jinet - I tried to at least keep phtographic rules in place as much as I could...

It's a good thing that all these drop shots doesn't look exactly the same - very nice pw, the result looks really great!

Original: What a manipulation here Vera!! Love the MATRIX drops!! :D i see a lot of creativity Ms. Thank you for the post and waiting to see some more JOE Added/Edited: Hello Vera.. Sorry i had to edit this becasue i totally forgot to write what i needed to! :)) No sleep as always.. Ok.. Lets see here.. You mentioned that you used your built in flash on the cam and it won't go above the 200/Sec! Are you shooting in Auto Mode Vera! Even tho on the Canon 350D with Auto mode on it should reach the 250/sec.. Did you set your camera to use internal lights or flash! The reason i asked all those questions, i just took my 20Da and used the same lens you have (IF IT IS CANON EF 70-300MM USM/IS) and did use my internal flash and took two shots.. One with 1/200 on this LINK and another one with 1/250 on this LINK Both shots were taken on a signle candle light. And no tipode where used. I also don't see the reason of the blurr/distortion on both images tho, this one and the yesterday one.. I remember you posted some sharp small ones before tho... I guess Andreas can answer those questions, but still can't understand with all the light you used why can't you get higher shutter speed! :- Andreaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssssss We need you here! :( Anyways.. Still love this one, and it is really interesting tho how you managed to capture the background like that honey.. And between, if you can blend the MARTIX effects a little.. That would be super! So thank you once again and still will wait for the next shot :D Have a nice day/night Vera JOE

Excellent ! That's a splendid creation, with a huge artistic touch. I adore this kind of images, half figurative and half abstract. By the way, the rules can hardly be applied to an abstract photo (better to figurative photos, now you know one situation where there is no rules to help you) Excellent work.

hmmm I use the built in flash ahhh shutter speed of 200 ISO of 400 and the apeture of about 8... :) but I do have the back of the sink that seems to act as a reflector and bounces the flash back... try something along those lines? Oh yeah and I tend to shoot them in low light so I can barely see what I'm doing! seems to help with the shot clarity... Anyway this is a ahhhh cool creation! Thanks for sharing! :)
