Description

Could this be a white carnation? Since, as usual, I don't know the name of this beauty, I had to think of some apt title, so I thought of this one because it reminded me of those frozen confections on a cone. Yummy. Can taste it now. I wish I had Terrypom's encyclopedia of flower knowledge, then I wouldn't have to go through these mental gymnastics.

Look at that wonderfully detailed swirl! This is beautiful and white flowers are difficult to get clear detiils on. Nice job!

It looks like a white Ranunculys Asiaticus, one of the Tecolote Hybrids, usually just called a Ranunculys. Lovely spceies that has several types of blossoms. Beautiful photograph and POV. Hugs!!!!

Wonderful flower, I'm not so sure on the carnation part though! Whatever it is, you've done a great job of capturing it's beauty. Very nice work indeed!!

I prefer to think of it as a tastee-freeze cone also.....yummy! Haven't had one of those in years! Look at all those lovely layers....have never grown this myself, but it does resemble the Ranunculus blossoms. Beautiful whatever it is.

I was thinking peony , but Claudia is probably right about it being a ranunculus. Love the way it spins out from the center. Great shot!
