Description
Yes this is a jellyfish. It is dead but do not step on it with your bare feet. it will hurt you. Some more that others type will hurt you.
I know most people on the water fronts os the seas have seen these a 1000's times but I did not see one for a long time intill now. I love the purple color that is on the inside of this fish

Ewwwwwwwwwww.....I would not know what this is and I might step on it....ouch! Thanks for posting this so I know. I have seen them in the water and they are sometimes very beautiful but it looks nasty here, lol.

This past summer I've had a nasty encounter with one of those.

High qaulity nature capture with excellent details. Did not realize some of these creatures end up on land and die, guess it only makes sense and the sea does toss a lot of things ashore. Dangaer here, but somehow feel better about it than man's dirty needles, broken glass, rusty nails, etc. At least given a little time nature will clean this up, while our dangerous junk seems to take much longer to finally be safe. Superior art work Jocko!

They can hurt like the dickens if you aren't careful,but are incredibly beautiful and graceful when alive and floating in the sea currents.A fantastic creature.Great shot.
