Description

Tired of metaphors inspired by rain I can't express myself because I am lost missing and presumed dead as I've tried to write these words these senseless lines multiple times As I hate myself for being weak and love myself for being strong within the same moment of introspection My libido and my mind can both be my best friends or my worst enemies whereas my heart it is a stranger peering through a wall of glass startled by shadows suspicious of light beating quietly wanting to write poetry using metaphors about the rain

The words you have written are beautiful! A wistful attempt to unite the many selves to the same end. Thanks for sharing. BJ BTW if you really seek the rain, look for the sun

I think I have a lifelong [and probably obsessive] love affair with metaphors ... thus I was slightly disappointed that the 'rain' metaphor was not carried through the poem - sort of like Buddy Holly's "Raining in my Heart" with poetic sophistication. But that's just personal perference, and thus of no importance ... This angsty melange of emotions and moods, which sometimes collude and sometimes collide, is familar to most of us who have 'lived a life' and will have meaning for many. The 'rain' reference at the beginning and end very cleverly rescues the piece from being a list ... well done for that! Mike

Writing about writing is the hardest writing to write about. Excellent view of the "struggle".
