AlooooHa ya'll!
Been pissing rain here for the last week making it almost impossible to get some shots. I had some time to kill yesterday in town, so my good buddy Sharky, chauffeured me around in his nice new truck to see if we could get some shots of the waterfalls in the area. We took in all the popular spots and some off the beaten track. We got soaked a few times but it didn't dampened our spirits..."dampen? how lame...."
Anyway, this was our last stop before quitting for the day. The rain let up enough so we could at least get off a few shots. This was shot from a bridge that spans the Wailuku river just on the outskirts of Hilo town. I expected more of a raging river from all the rain, but it was pretty tame considering the amount of rain that had fallen all day.

But...but...but...there should never be any rain in Hawaii....at least not in my ignorant mind. LOL. I love shots like this. Perfect shutterspeed and awesome overall exposure. You have just inspirered me to go out and look for some rivers myself...but im going back to work tonight so i reckon it will have to wait...sigh...and by the time i will have some spare time over...im sure the rivers will be frozen and there will be snow everywhere. #:o( Yup...winter has come a bit further north from here and its only a matter of time before were snowed in as well. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!! SET UP THE GUESTHOUSE BUDDY!!!!!!! #;o) Have a grand weekend!!!!!
