A view of the wrought iron work on the front facade of Ashton Villa. This type of decoration was common along the Gulf Coast and can been seen in the French Quarter of New Orleans.

Absolutely gorgeous view. So many of the older buildings there had the New Orleans influence. But then, there was a large French influence at its founding. Great shot!

Galveston is a neat and historic place. My daughter and I visited Galveston in 2000 and really enjoyed ourselves. I love this photograph of the ornate wrought iron work that's common in so many buildings there.
