Description

~ France Park - Cass County, Indiana ~ October has arrived at last bringing my favorite time of year. So Happy October! I never tire of our frequent hikes through this place we are fortunate enough to have nearby. At one point we heard something unusual and a search revealed that a tree had died but its fall was checked by another so that it leans at about a 70 degree angle. When the wind blows the two rub together producing a sound like that of a tall ship creaking on the waves. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'll return with a recorder to try and bring it to you. We made sure to clearly mark on the map in our memories the home of the 'Singing Tree'. I hope there's a breeze! A great Sunday to all and Thanks for looking! Ken

Looks like a painting...such dramatic clouds and lovely lanscape line. The only shower here is rain (snatches mirror away, lol).
