Hey all,
This is my first 2d post here , I usually do 3d images so go easy on the crits. I got a reference image and hand drew the features until I was happy how accurate it was. I then added a few layers and blocked out the skin and hair and added the shading at this point .
Once the colors and tones were okay I enlarged the image then added more details to the image. This is my first attempt at a portrait since I was a kid and I am fairly happy with the way it turned out. I do 3d computer renderings(architectural) for a living so I am used to painting some in 2d but this is the first image that I did all in 2d from start to finish.
