Description

"The Bristol and I had survived 8 months on the western front- and several years bouncing from one dangerous job to another. She had miraculously pulled us through some harrowing episodes, and although I've cracked her up on more than one occasion, she seems undaunted. This last season with the mail route has drained both of us, and we are in search of some well-needed rest. The weather has been wretched for weeks- rain, cold, and little pay. But this evening, as I was heading west, the sun at last broke out, in a sky of fire and warmth. I got an incredible feeling of renewed hope; perhaps our luck was going to change soon..." Unknown mail pilot, 1921 Vue, Bristol Boxer from R'osity freestuff, some touch-up in PS. Original terrain. www.gibsoncreation.com Hope your sky is rosy, and thanks for viewing and commenting.

I love this scene for two reasons: airplanes have always been an interest of mine for many years; and, the canyons of the west continually provide inspirations to create artwork. Paul, this is a beautiful piece ...keep them coming.
