Description


This is a spacecraft model I'm working on in 3D Max. I'm trying to better my skills with polymodelling; this started as a camfered cylinder. My theoretical propulsion system is an energy "phased array"; the armament consists of 3 plasma cannons in the nose. I'd like to work some retracting landing gear into the model as well. I've experimented with UV mapper for a skin, but if any of you have suggestions, please do so. Comments are very welcome.

excelelnt poly modelling!! i reckon it definitely needs a chrome/reflective texture - not sure about quality settings on Max but if you could turn them all to the max and hit render - it would have to turn out amazing - also if you had a populated hangar area to sit it in ...

Looks hot! You can texture the skin in Bryce even like in Poser with textures or images and get great results.

...and that's all Greek to me. All I know is that this is REALLY HARD TO DO, and you are doing beautifully! Watched something on the tube last night, and they described some of these things just about like this. Triangle shaped with the light bars in back... Nice work.
