Description

"I really believe there are things nobody would see if I didn't photograph them." ~ Diane Arbus

More wild horses on the shores Cumberland Island, Georgia. Some foals has recently been born, as is obvious from this photo. I waited for about an hour for the horses to do something exciting like for males to fight or for one to roll around on the sand, but they pretty much just strolled to the waters edge and just stood there. If I didn't know better, I would say that they did it just to spite the photographer. ;'] View the scene large for the best detail. It is still approximately 35% of the original photo's size. I toyed with making this a B&W image but I like the color, washed out though it may be. Be sure to 'Google' Cumberland Island horses for more about their interesting history. ----- Thank you for your trotting comments on my last upload, Panoramus Equidae Duex.

A close family formation. There is something about the energy of horses and the sea just going together, great capture.

Awww...this is so sweet!! If you think about it, what's a horse do on it's day off? Go stand by the water's edge, lol ;)
