Captured at the beautiful LA Botanic Garden in beautiful Arcadia, California.
And please don't tell me this is a mallard duck, LOL!

My words exactly... the water is wonderful. We canadians know what a Canada goose is... Forgive Este's comment... not everyone is an Animal Scientist, ;)

The so called "ducky" is not swimming in a lake, but in an artificially enclosed environment, like a filtered swimming pool, replete with pretty fountains spraying water high in the air. At the time of the photo, goosie had the whole pool to himself, which really did wonders for his ego.

Geese are a little greasier than ducks but there is more meat on a goose...that's how I can tell which is which... oh... yeah...well... this is a goose and a fine photo of it too. Easy to see it's treated water... any time you can see their flappy feet working under water you've got to figure they are in a well maintained pond. good job.
