Description

Thank you for all your comments and visits to Drakensberg backdrop.thumb_1302359.jpg

While triggering the self timer to counter camera shake, these two ladies walked up after washing their clothing. I was disappointed. When looking at the picture, I realised I could take a chance having them as part of the composition, even while being blurry in appearance. I highlighted them, as well as the washing. Please tell me if you think this chance composition works for you or not. I used PhotoImpact to adjust colour and contrast too.

BTW: "namhlanje ekuseni" (isiZulu) in the title means "this morning". This is so typical African contrast, having the lush green golf course and rural small scale farming hugging borders.

Be sure to visit the galleries of those who uploaded photos of the weekend: Zeldie, Vera, Andrew and  Herman.

ABSOLUTLY GORGEOUS THIS SCENE. COLOURS, deep, the fog turn magic this landscape. And the womans decorate with colours the scene and no bother .Excellent and BRAVO for it Hugs

I do not see how you could improve on a perfect capture. the blur of the women adds to the mystique of the countryside and offers constrast with modern things like golf

Other than the very blurry individuals (they appear to be in motion and are not consistent with the sharper clarity of the foreground), the photo is a beautiful composition with the very soft blending of colors/colours and a gorgeous setting sun. Is that a helicopter on the left side of the photo?

Well,to a certain degree, they could have been cloned out{the figures},but then it's not the same photo after...this happens with my kids all the time, popping in unexpectantly...still a wondrous landscape/sunset representation!

I crown this the shot of the WEEKEND!!! Could you give me the link to your other shots please - I know you said you'd put them all somewhere. I beautiful African shot - natives in the forground starting daily life - shutter speed enough to still make details - gorgeous mist (was there really mist?) and perfect timing to get the sun still touching!!! 1st class Oom!!!

I agree with Xoterik. It seems to be a capture of life's movement among the stillness of nature. Love the sense of depth, in more ways than one. :0)

What an amazing shot. The sunrise and the mist are breathtaking. And I love the blurred colors and people in the forground. They do add mystery and movement. But first your eyes are drawn to the goregous sun.
