Thank you for all your comments and visits to This morning.thumb_1303974.jpg

I have a soft spot for trees and hence capturing this Kiepersol or Cabbage Tree (Cussonia spicata) was not hard to predict.

Be sure to visit our forum and the galleries of those who uploaded photos of the weekend: Zeldie, Vera, Andrew and Herman.

incredible view Piet and breath taking. I heard on the tv this morning that 1200 people are dying daily in the Congo from hunger and disease. is this true?the population must be very high

@ Richard: I believe so Richard, there has been a drawn out war since the first massacres and sources differ vastly on real casualties and people dying of starvation and disease. Fortunately we are several thousand miles seperated, to the south. Very sad!

My dad loves these trees - maybe I should've dug it up and taken it home for him? I think a portrait shot would've been better - helped the tree to look grounded - it's floating abit here.
