Description

Well, Hi all you beautiful Rositeers, I'm happy to say that my battle with Poser is almost over. For you strangers, this Dragon is "Scurge". I've spent the last 6 weekends building him and making him into a Poser character. Don Quixote had his Windmills and I have my Poser....lol. I had to rebuild the mesh model 3 times to get it to bend and twist in all the right places (without ripping). Quite the learning experience, boning ol Scurge. Then there where his eyes... what a nightmare. You can't bone eyes. They don't connect to the head mesh but they sure try. Spinning the eyes affects all the face mesh and rips the face. It can't be tweaked, it's a paradox for Poser. It has to be fixed by editing the CR2 file. I should have dropped in a real Character bone structure, but wanted to do him from scratch. Several emails to e-frontier (new owners of Poser stuff) confirmed this. Now he is fully flexable and posable. Hey look mom, he walks! (tail, eyes, ears, mouth... yippie!!!!) Also had to learn to create Morphs and CR2 editing... what a chore. I still need to fix his skin, but can slide with this one for a bit. Hugs until later from Dave :^) Credits: Scurge by davidoblad (Hey...that's me, yea....lol) Background by Shardz (Shardscape's collection) Cat is a Poser5

Well this is certainly more than I can pull off. Quite an impressive undertaking. Scurge seems like a very interesting character.

Well, he's a real mover, Dave. I thought after'''15 months''' hohoho, you would never finish the poor little guy. All the new words I learned from the commputer room, were very educational. Mother soaps up mouths for less than that. I love this pic though. I think Chira will also love her new pet. Good job, after all that sweat, sweety. Huggs and love ya...Silkylady...

David!! I was wondering what happened to you, but after reading you sought out your PhD in Poserology, I now completely understand as to why! Scurge is so cool and very well done, and although I know about modeling, I don't do organics or characters due to the complexity involved. You did a great job in creating him and grouping and boning it must have been lot of good fun! LOL! I'm glad to hear you acquired a parter to help you along with your mighty adventure! Yes another daunting labor of love, and I can't wait to see where it goes next! Glad to see you back after all this time, David, and a big two thumbs up for your efforts...I'm really envious and very impressed! Excellent work, my friend!!! P.S. I'm still working on my pack! Honest! LOL!!

Scurge looks very cute. I am assuming he is still just a baby (no fire blasting out, fangs, etc). This makes me a little nervous since something sinister could happpen to this little charmer. You would't do that to us - would you??? The creaton of Scurge has been almost as taxing as giving birth! You must be a very proud dragon dad. Great job - can't wait for the story to continue.

Well young fella persistence paid off in spades. You created one cute, colorful and adorable little character here a wonderful addition to the visual effects of future "Chira" episodes. By the way you ticked him into a very pleasant scene. My congratulations Dave truly well deserved. Kudos my man, as you often say. George http://www.renderbenders.com/

Just came here today and Awwwwwww..he's cute!!!! It's a good thing you named him,I would have given him a name like Spot, Blue Boy! LOL! WoW...he really is wonderful. I love the toothy grin, I can't decide if those eyes are filled with wonderment or mischieviouness. Thank you Dave you are such a great person! So far, I've loved every minute of it.
