Description

Toxic snapped back to consciousness in a place she had been, just earlier in the day. Doctor Aran was growling at Dokka, "Like I really NEEDED YOU to bring a bunch of plague carriers into my hospital! Dammit, what were you thinking?" Toxic snapped, "My head hurts. Shut up! Where is Yellow-knotty-girl, and the Measure, and Martya?" Dokka looked relieved and said, "I'm very glad you're awake. I thought we lost you." Jaeko waved a hand, and said "We can't answer if we 'shut up!'" Toxic looked vaguely in Dokka's direction and followed the sounds. " I know Jaeko, and Auntie-cousin-grand-niece Aran, but who are you? I don't know your voice." She looked up at the direction of Jaekos face, and said, "Alright--talk little words." Dokka turned back to Doctor Aran, and asked in concern, "Is she blind? What is wrong with her?" Aran rolled her eyes, and remarked, "Death-field complications. Bleeding in the retinae, and intestines are part of it. Looking at the hemorages in her body, she is phenomenally lucky to have suffered so LITTLE quantum tunneling in her nervous system, or brain. The chances are millions to one against. She needs rest and the medicine I'm pumping into her." Jaeko asked Toxic, "What do you remember?" Toxic looked confused and answered fuzzily, "Martya and I were in the shuttle-cock room of blue lights and Yellow-knot lady popped in, then the Measure when 'vorp' and there she was! We talked for a while, and Martya shrieked and disappeared. Then--THEN I shreiked, too and must have dis-app-pear-red, too. Too and two made four of us." Jaeko said nervously, "Your heart stopped when we prised that armband out of your hands. We had to do CPR. We were really concerned! We would have doomed if you hadn't started breathing on your own when.." Dokka grabbed Jaeko by the arm and shook his head. Jaeko snapped to attention and looked around in fear suddenly. He said to Toxic, "Im babbling. You...ah...need to sleep and dream and recuperate. I need to shut up now." Dokka took off his cap and wiped a nervous hand over his moist scalp. He called over his shoulder to Doctor Aran, "I'll leave you to your patient, Doctor." She blinked as she watched him go. She KNEW people. They kept acting like someone else was watching their every move. Someone with a gun to their heads. Something was going on, and Aran did NOT like it. Dokka delivers up four scav, one of which was on death's door and proclaims they had all been exposed to a virus in Panchetta's lost lab, and all of Trashtown was downwind of the airborne vector. Aran clicked Marr's comm-unit. "Marr--where are you?" "I'm going back to the burn-ward. The recovery tube is showing dangerous fluid surges, why?" Marr sounded distracted. The floor directly below Aran thumped with a loud impact. It thumped loud enough to be audible that time. She realized she was directly above the burn ward where that Trow woman was. Aran shouted, "Let me know what's happening when you get there!" --TO BE CONTINUED-- media is Poser 6
