Description

Marr entered the burn ward just as the two ton, macro-molecular, recovery tube bounced up and down in it's bolted cradle one more time. Plaster dust wafted down from the cracked ferro-crete ceiling. The inch-thick walls of macro-molecular acrylic could contain stop large explosions without a mark. They had fine cracks at the top and bottom, now. The dimunitive trow woman spun faster in the tube, than the fluid in the tube should have allowed her. Her eyes were open and glowed with the same color light as the jewel welded into her stomach. She was apparently feeling much better, than the comatose state she was suffering from when she was brought in. The small dark woman pointed at herself and pointed out of the tube. Marr quailed before her anger. Marr punched the tube microphone button. She said weakly, "M-miss! It'll take ten to fifteen minutes to drain the tube. You have to be patient!" The woman shook her head and then swayed back and forth. The two tons of tube did likewise, slamming againt the retaining clips with loud thuds. Feeling the 'unmovable' move, Marr gave out a shout of fear. She realized the enigmatic woman was going to break the tube. Marr punched the button and gasped out in terror, "PLEASE DON'T BREAK OUR ONLY WORKING RECOVERY TUBE! Please!" The woman stopped in surprise and looked shocked, herself. After a moment, the Trow woman nodded, and went about examining the door. Marr said to her, "It's Mono-molecular laminate. Fits to the molecule thickness. It will not open until the fluid level inside falls below the door. It then is pushed in and slids to the right. You're breathing hyper-oxygenated amniotic fluid to regenerate your skin and lungs from the burns you received---which are ALL GONE now!" The woman looked at Marr until she fell quiet. The Trow Woman put out a hand toward the door and the door sank into the tube as if empty, and bubbles of air started up from the door-frame. Marr gave out a shriek and jumped back in the face of the extreme impossibility of the situation. The door opened just enough for the woman to leap out, and slid shut behind her, as she landed with a graceless flop on the hard ceramic floor. Neblae vomited out the fluid from her lungs with wet coughs and stood up shakily. Marr stood by the door in shock. Marr blinked as Neblae shouted at her, as Doctor Aran and Dokka ran into the room. Neblae's eyes lost the un-earthly glow they had before. "Get me something to right on! NOW! I know how to twist probability, now! I need to right it down before I forget this loophole in physics!" Marr sat down heavily, Aran looked uncomprehendingly at Neblae, while Dokka holstered his pistol, and grabbed up the first tablet and stylus he came across and ran over to Neblae. --to be continued!-- Media is Poser 6
