Description

Pelza and Ruiz pelted down the hallway, cobwebs flying in their faces. They found a large pair of doors unlocked, and flung them open. Pelza gasped out, "Who...who were those guys? Looked like Scavs?" Ruiz shook his head. "Naw. Not Uh.....city Scavs. They are probably Kruag's Scavs from the armor. You see that leader? Looked like Kruag! I seen the old recordings from more than sixty years ago!" Pelza said to the room, "Lights! On!" A pair of decorative lights next to the door came on, and a light on the far wall flickered on. She peered into the dim room, as her voice echoed back to her from the cavernous room. There were cobwebs on everything in sight, as Ruiz moved slowly into the room. He said quietly to Pelza, "Think your Mom put us in the elevator?" "She's not my mom any more. She's a mind-wiped plague-carrier now. Don't know who put us in there. Those Scavs didn't." She blinked and put her hand on her pistol. "How many rounds you got left?" He snorted, "Three rounds and you got what, two bullets? They sure pointed their guns at us, but didn't shoot us up. I wonder why." Pelza asked, "You hear something? Yeah--enough firepower to croak five people. IF they stood up against the wall and let us shoot 'em." At the center of the room, they looked back and their eyes were drawn up to the huge, bat-winged monster they had walked under, perched on the second floor balcony. It regarded them with a dangerous intellegence as they backed up. They froze, as it stared with glowing eyes at them. Pelza whispered, "Oh shit. Another monster? Dammit." Ruiz swallowed hard and said slowly, "Oh, we are screwed. Just be carefull and don't do anything provocative. It might not want any trouble either." On the floor below them, a firefight broke out. The loud sound of full automatic firearms echoed in the huge room, as running feet sounded in the hallway leading up to the huge room. The large monster reared up and gave out a deafening roar of challenge. Pelza said sharply to Ruiz, "When the Scavs run in, Point at the monster and follow me up the stairs. While they take care of each other, we get away!" Ruiz had time to clip off, "Right!" They ran to the bottom of the stairs, as a fireteam of powered armor-troopers from Flying-city 32 ran into the room. They were expecting Scavs, not humans and monsters. Everyone literally surprised each other, and the room exploded into fire and violence. --To be Continued!-- Media is Poser 6
