Description

I was photo some old cars like the La Salle car you saw with the blue taft on top. I walked right into a big spider web there . I hate spides and when I walked into they web; the more. I looked all over to make sure the spider was not on me. It ran up the web that was left. I saw another spider and I took a photo of it and here it is. It a big banana spider we call it. I do not have the right name. When I was six years old; my brothers and me was walking in the woods of our new house[new to us. it was two miner camps my dad was putting together] Anyway I walked into a big spider web and I could not get loose. I looked up and saw this gaint spider comeing at me . I gave it all I had and I got free and I ran so fast lol. It looked like those Tarzin movies spiders to me. I know the fear was in me and my little six year old mind grown that spider big but to this day I do not like spiders. I let them live for I know they help kill a lot of bugs that will bite me but I do keep away from them. thanks for all comments I know I was going to upload a duck blind. But I going to do that atfer Oct. 31. let get spooky here ok

they had this white taft hangeing to cover up something. I not sure what but I love it behind the spider. The taft is about five to seven feet away in the background

Oh gosh, I'm with Burpee. Your pic has compelled me to take a picture and post it. Hopefully tomorrow. You see I know the good the spiders do also, so I've let one live that spins a web every night from a tree beside my truck. This very morning I forgot about it ran face first into it. eeyooowww! I'm going to capture that monster on film. I ramble. Again your work inspires.

If it's black and yellow then, judging from the shape, it's probably a Golden Garden Spider. They range from small to quite large and the big ones make some seriously strong webs . . at least along the Texas coast. Excellent shot here!

A wonderful closeup shot of that strange looking arachnid. Great light and shadow display in this capture. The spider image is sharp as a razor. Super shot, Jocko! Incidentally, if you want to see really huge spiders, rent out the "EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS" movie on DVD. It even has ostriches in it.

I've seen fishing spiders the size of a human hand before, yet they were not as sinister looking as this fine fellow. Brr! [Shivers ] Very spooky shot! FIVE STARS

I love spiders, except when they get too big! We used to have what we called banana spiders, their bodies were about two inches long sometimes. Great shot, the contrast is good and the background perfect!

Curious spider, aveec these species of brushes to the extremities of these legs. I never saw some of such in France. Stereotyped beautiful, and of beautiful frights you have to have in your childhood.

Oh what a beautiful spider! They are just adorable and won't hurt you as their natural behaviour when disturbed are to retreat on the web or fall to the ground immediately. The also pick up your movement long before you are near them. The web extends far and wide and you disturb it from afar - normally! They are called orb-web spiders, Nephilia meaning "giants". I photographed them so close that on several occasions she got onto the camera and never harmed me.
