Description

Woohoo! My first B6 render and I mean my FIRST, didn't even try a sphere. The main thing I wanted to try was HDRI, so here it is. No real lights. Pretty slow render (hours). I'm going to try to render a similar scene in Carrara and see what difference there is. But, yeah, Bryce 6.0. Who would have thought it would have come this year? p.s., Yeah, I did run some postwork on it. The HDRI was a little dark, so I took it up a notch.

in my experience, hdri is the only reason a first render can ever look so great. (its almost got nothing to do with skill) nice work. and btw, a render time of hours is unnecessary. try the same thing using blender3d. the times range from 15 miniuts to 3 hours even with hdri.

It sure will be interesting to see how it compares with Carrara. The lighting is sweet! Great looking render. ^_^

Beautiful render, Phil! Very masterful and impressive from any version of Bryce, looks like a really thorough test too.

Great model a bit too clean though, but that ground is awesome, I think some of the commenters feel you load an HDRI probe and it turns out perfect, hopefully bryce 6 has implemented a system for long shadows and HDRI. Excellent first.

Lovely work - I think Bryce 6 for $6 for PC members might be a solution of what render program to use instead of the glacial firefly...

What, no sphere? For shame. A HDRI sphere would have kicked some major bootay. That said, awsome render. :)
