Description

Here's a very similar setup to yesterdays image of my chopper rendered in Bryce 6.0. This one is Carrara with the same ground texure and the same HDRI, but the chopper in both cases uses textures that come with the relevant programmes, hence the slight difference. The carrara render took easily a third of the time the Bryce one did. But I think it shows that Bryce is catching up somewhat. Bryce Chopper

OOOooooohhhhh, pretty! I have to say I prefer the textures in this render better than yesterdays. Love the detail of the cockpit. Although personally I would prefer the gun barrels and the missles under the winglets a different color to add some contrast. Very nice image!!!

I seem to like the Bryce version better, but that's probably just a "religious" matter.. ;) Very nice though!

interesting to see the difference - I'm noting the detail on the ground and shadows is not quite as smooth as yesterday, but one third the time is a great help!

I won't take this as a "Carrara vs. Bryce" poll -- as I can see the model itself has improved respect to the previous one, it would be unfair. So let me just say that this ( ;^)! ) is a wonderful image!

I agree with ek-art, the Bryce one is better.

Cool model. Love the dual miniguns and missiles. I'd like to order one if I could.

I prefer the the Bryce one, the chopper and its shadows and highlights looked more true to a full-size vehicle while the Cararra one looks more like a smaller plastic model, albiet a very detailed one though :)

I also prefer the Bryce one, mainly the ground and the shadowing for that matter, excellent job on both and a good comparison.

I prefer the Bryce6 version, mostly for the quality of the light... but 1/3 of the time is not irrelevant. Great work, specially giving us the possibility to compare the two renders.
