Shadowplay IV by TwoPynts

"A photographer must be prepared to catch and hold on to those elements which give distinction to the subject or lend it atmosphere. They are often momentary, chance-sent things: a gleam of light on water, a trail of smoke from a passing train, a cat crossing a threshold, the shadows cast by a setting sun. Sometimes they are a matter of luck; the photographer could not expect or hope for them. Sometimes they are a matter of patience, waiting for an effect to be repeated that he has seen and lost or for one that he anticipates. Leaving out of question the deliberately posed or arranged photograph, it is usually some incidental detail that heightens the effect of a picture

Shadows and reflections, always make me think of Platos bizzare philosophies! This is a truly wonderful and tranquil scene!! I can hear the water moving!! Very Zen like!

What I find so brilliant about this photo is the reddish tones carried from the water to the flower. A perfect balance of color here...lovely shot!!

The light on the rocks and plants is lovely but I think I like the water in this the best. The lighting conditions really show it off nicely. Very good.

I really like the "stripyness" on the rocks. Thats what makes the image. Plus the brown water. Great shot, and splendid addition to the series!! 8;o)

Fantastic composition. It has a classic, timeless, perfectly balanced feel to it. A perfect example of what Bill Brandt was referring to...
