Description

"Light is my inspiration, my paint and brush. It is as vital as the model herself. Profoundly significant, it caresses the essential superlative curves and lines. Light I acknowledge as the energy upon which all life on this planet depends. My photographic images search for dimensions that words cannot touch-- the result of intense responses to personal experiences. I do not wish to "record," but rather to touch upon the illusive meanings which I perceive and try to comprehend in this limitless universe. The ground we walk on, the plants and creatures, the clouds above constantly dissolving into new formations - each gift of nature possessing its own radiant energy, bound together by cosmic harmony. Every artist, in a sense, is missionary. He tries to convey a message to his fellow man

I have tried to get a shot of a bamboo grove for several months now and although I get shots, they have no interest or outstanding quality to them. You have done a marvelous job where I failed... this is wonderful with lots of b/w contrast and good depth.

"Me and my shadow We're closer than smog when it clings to L.A. We're closer than Bobby is to J.F.K. Not a soul can bust this team in two We stick together like glue!" I agree, the hint of color is nice! Great composition!!

I bet this shot look completely different in color, and not only because its colored...duh. But i dont think it would have this same fantastic mood as this one has. Awesome work Kort! Love that subtle green on the leaves. Excellent touch. Have a wonderful weekend. #:o)

A far, far superior capture of a bamboo grove then I've ever been able to achieve! Another excellent photo in your extensive archive of photos. You've been able to combine fascinating light and shadows with a silhouette-type composition.
