Description

This shot is from a heavy duty Texas sized storm that blew through here a couple of weeks ago. Shot at 1/30th second @F/22 (to keep the different depths of clouds in focus) without tripod (too much lightning for me to want that much metal close to my body), ISO 200, using a D50 with a 35-105 Nikon lens (70mm focal length) Still no luck capturing a good lightning shot or a tornado...yet, but I'll be sure to post it when I get one. Thanks for viewing

Well captured. It sure looks ominous enough and the circular formation clearly visible. Good luck!

I've tried shooting lightning, too .. it's not easy!!! I'll be thrilled when/IF I ever get it right just once! Anyway, this is a great shot of some nasty storm clouds.

Beautiful shot! Moody, powerful and emotional. Very nice. If anyone is looking for a great weather shot... Texas is the place to do it. Don't like the weather at 10 a.m.??? Stick around until 10:10 and its all different! :-)

Great shot. The feeling of barely harnessed power is incredible! I love that the sun is trying to send it on it's way. Thanks for sharing. BJ
