Back in Daedalidai,
things were not going so smoothly by Atheena Aristophanes Atheena stomped her foot, "You did what!! How could five grown men lose Elgon and Clio? This should have been an easy task for you six men. I have seen you, Kritias, and Elgon, take on a whole army before, and you let them vanish into a strange fog." She sat down on one of the nearest chairs; it was all too much. She looked over at Kritias, "So, what do we do now?" He shook his head, "We wait; Elgon said to tell you that they would be a little delayed. Personally, he didn't seemed frightened, more exasperated, as if he knew exactly what was going on. So, all we can do now is wait and hope to hear from him soon. I wouldn't be surprised to see him and Clio dropped right here on our terrace. You know these strange fogs are usually associated with the gods; we have had to deal with several of our own. Remember when you were so worried about me, when I was away in Sparta, and you went walking in a fog, but Athena protected and told you that I would be safe?" Skip spoke up, excitedly giving his version of the story, and how they fought bravely and courageously against the savage Amazons. Atheena smiled as she listened; she suspected there was some embellishments but she was sure that it was a bloody fight. She also knew that Skip, Xeo, and Kritias would have gloried in the battle, though she wasn't so sure about Joey and Max. Even after all this time, though she adored him, Max was a mysterious figure, and there was much that she did not know about him and his past, but she accepted him because Joey loved him and he was so good for Joey. She understood, for Max was easy to love. Atheena suddenly noticed all the cuts and bruises that the five sported among them; she called for some clean cloths, water, and some ointment. The men refused at first, calling them their 'badges of honor', and that they didn't need any treatment. Atheena told them to stop acting like the triplets and just get it over with. Finally they agreed and the women cleaned the wounds and smoothed the ointment on, placing bandages, where needed. Atheena looked over at Phyrne and chuckled, "You know that as soon as they are out of our sight, those bandages will come off." Phyrne raised her eyebrow, "or maybe not; that is a sure sign they have been in a fight." She laughed. The ladies, Thalia, Callista, and Phyrne decided to call it a night, since they were not sure what time Elgon and Clio would arrive. Atheena looked over at the men, "Joey, Max, Skip, Xeo, why don't you four go on home. It's late and Psyche will be worrying about you. There is nothing we can do right now. Go get some rest." They grumbled about a job half done, but turned to take their leave. Kritias stopped them and took them off to the side, "Now remember,
