...when you can tamper with the voter?
Electronic voting machines were supposed to be the answer to our election woes, but it kind of looks as though they may be just a new flavor for an old problem. The following is an article that aired on ABC News October 22nd; I'm replacing the dots in the U R L with the word "dot" enclosed in parentheses. Anybody who's tried adding a Web address to their image notes will know why:

Damn, that's scary Morgan. I've heard of problems with them, and never really trusted them, frankly. I am confused though because we've never used the electronic voting machines here in my district. Can anyone just insert a disk into these things? I would think they'd be smart enough to lock it up so that you can't put any disks into the damn thing, but having never seen one, I couldn't tell you. I think paper is the only way to go. That's how we do it in my city... and at least then there is a paper trail. Now, hopefully I will be voting in the next ellections. I lost my Voter ID card, and when I had to renew my licences on my birthday, I requested a new one, but it still hasn't come yet. sigh. And I do want to vote. I don't like our govenor, nor her main competition. I'm actually voting independant this year. Awesome image hon. Thanks for bringing the article to my attention.
