Just playing around with new constructs to use as laser projectiles in my modelling. Applied spike deformer to the ball and cylinder basics I usually use, and this was the effect...
I think it looks kinda cool. In a non cliche sort of style anyway

Looks great but the contrast is too much and makes it look specular. Have you tried using glow and anything glows then doing a soften in postwork to get a more natural energy beam corona?

Hi kamperbeyond, More classical ship this time ! Looking like a cross between a P80 and a ST-BoP ^-^ I like the look of the beams, they make me think of plasma guns, something like controlled lightning balls, rather than lasers. @+ Beno 'Mutos' ROBIN
