Description

Last night we had a huge snowfall, and in the morning we had some special visitors. Three glorious bucks helped themselves to the birdseed, and stayed around for over an hour. What a marvelous gift nature brought us. Hope you enjoy. CC

Beautifully captured. You have caught them poseing for you, and it is now deer season here in N.C, so the deer are trying to hide as far away from humans as possable. Not just hunters, but hunters with dogs and sound equipment. Excuse me, they are not hunters, they are like a posse going after the outlaw. HUGS!!!

You and Zacko both have snow, and I had to sit on the side of the road for @ 15 minutes after I drowned my engine in a lake! I hate to go out in it but love to look at snow. Thanks for sharing these majestic visitors. BJ

Kimmie- actually there is quite a bit for them to eat, like long grass. They poke their heads right under the snow and munch away. These bucks looked quite healthy and well-fed, which was wonderful to see.

Ahhh.. that's why I love Colorado! While we don't get these travelers in our yard we run into them reguarly- my fave was one day many years ago out riding my horse on Boulder Creek on a snowy day and running into a big old stag face to face! All of us surprised each other:)

WOW! You got some very nice shots here. What is the distance? What strength lens did you use? Nice job.
