Description
G'day.
This is no 4 of a short seies on cold temperate rainforests of southern Australia (taken 70km east of Melbourne).
Australia has hot tropical rainforests up north which have temperatures in the range of 10 to 35+ degrees celcius.
We also have as cold temperate rainforests in Victoria and Tasmania that get sub zero temperatures in winter (sometimes snow).
There is a big difference in the average temperatures of the two types of rainforests but both have high rainfalls. Plant species are also different.
Enjoy & cheers
Louise

A rainforest with sub zero temperatures? Shouldnt that then be called a Snowforest? #:oP We have plenty of snowforests where i live, lol. Beautiful shot once again. I guess we both are stuck in a creek-series at the moment. #;o) Have a wonderful evening matie! #:O)
