Description
G'day.
This is a short series of "panorama" style shots of my local rainforest (yes they are crop jobs).
This is taken up at Mt Donna Buang, east of Melbourne.
I wanted to covey how thick and dense the forest is here!!
Its quite an effort moving through here to photograph the area, it takes hours and you need to cover up all your arms and legss to stop being scratched and/or get eaten by Leeches!!
Mind you i prefer Leeches to Ticks any day of the week - LOL!!
I must try a macro of a Leech one day ... not that they ever stand still !!

Eeew for leeches!!!! When i went hiking through the rainforest of Thailand, we put tobacco in our boots. They said that would kill...or at least stunn the leaches. Maybe you could go on a hunt and collect cigarette butts to put in a stew or something...then drain your socks, lol. Beautiful photo once again btw. Not that much is shown by the stream...but i do love those ferns and the moss. #:o)
