Description

Ultra Fractal. Six simple layers... three for the spiral and three for the hill and cross... and it took almost two hours to render at this size. I don't know why... must have something to do with the formulas I used. Anyway... I hope some of you will enjoy it. In the immortal words of John Lennon... "All we are saying, is give peace a chance." Thanks so much for the kind words you guys have left under some of my previous efforts.. and thank you for stopping by to have a peek at this one. Hugs! Helen :)

Beautifully and powerfully expressed with the two symbols of peace. Elegant and compelling at once. Superb fractal art, Helen. I'm with brother John, and especially with The Author of Peace represented by the cross on the hill. All the way.

A stunning composition. Peace? Seems humans have become accustomed to violence and killing and most often in the quest for money, power, and control.

Helen, I may have to learn a new language, or maybe make one up, because I am running out of words that adequately describe, your recent work, particularly. Six "simple" layers :) This one will be enjoyed for a long, long time, LM.

I do not know what formulas you used, but they created a very touching image! I am just loving the design of the spiral you used and how you created the hill and cross. Six simple layers, it would take me forever to come up with something like that. Simply beautiful and touching!

Your rendition of the theme is a remarkable creation. It sets forth the symbol of peace so familiar to everyday use and in visional art; the source of all peace on Golgotha's hill for which very few have experienced its profound magnitude and its overwhelming saving power from to-days preoccupation with fear and terror on the media. Your soft and gentle use of colour and movement is peaceful and full of beauty. Thank you,so much for your message to us.

Do we see the cross as a symbol of peace and hope or a symbol of bigotry and war? The waves of change are crashing up against the hill, eventually to engulf it and start the world anew. I often wonder if peace is ever possible, however idealistic and desirable it might be. Is human nature still far too driven by instinct for any meaningful change or are we just too stubborn and materialistic to really want peace?
