Description

For my final Halloween contribution of the year, I used the concept of the movie, SLEEPY HOLLOW, for this creation, which I'm sure Andreas/Zacko will appreciate no end. Incidentally, a fabulous film for this kind of stuff. Shown is the tree, just moments after the Headless Horseman leaps from its bowels in his continuous quest for revenge by beheading his enemies, both real and imagined. The gaping hole closes right after the Horseman's departure, and reopens again upon his return. I would have shown the Horseman and his wild eyed steed in the composition if I had taken a photo of them, but, c'mon, you can't have everything in life. Anyway, I combined the tree trunk with a woodsy background, then postworked the whole thing to death (no pun intended) LOL -- I really squeezed the blood out of Photoshop on this one. I thought I had a more appropriate trees' photo for a background in my library, but, alas, there was none to be found. Oh well, I'll know better next time. That said, thanks for dropping by, and have a fruitful day and night of trick or treating!

nice tree and well done on the postwork - it lacks that "Tim Burton colour" tho if you were trying to get it spot on. Great stuff nonetheless, better than i could do with PS :)

Wicked, it does look like a howling face. Like the blurring of it's mouth.

At first I thought it was a tree dressed up as that painting, The Scream, thanks for sharing. BJ
