Description

Inspired by the first time I ever saw a Golden Eagle, abut 20 years ago- I was white water rafting down the Colorado River on the Utah/Colorado border and saw a pair of goldens doing what my friend said was their "mating dance"- they fly fast to each other, grab each other's talons and fold their wings, and plummet and tumble through the air together, then come apart and soar back up and do it again. An amazing thing to see! Anyway I started this back in August but I felt (and still feel) it's just not there and I'm still not sure why. So I figured I'd throw it up here for suggestions! So please feel free to make comments, suggestions etc! that you think would make this better.

nice scene.... perhaps the edges on the feathers are to geometric and could be softened? the eagles seem 'mirror' posed.... great sky!

Gorgoeus image! If you make the upper birds body and left wing darker ( add deeper shadows) you loose datail but give it a more "dramatic" look. But its outstanding as it is now!

blurring or brushing out the ends of the wings to help the movement?

I love this!!! Very dramatic!!! Would adding rock formations, up close, in the bottom foreground corners give more depth?

Fabulous!! Eagles have made an incredible come-back since they had dwindled in the 70's! I know how you feel when I see them soaring through our neighborhood, and we live in the city! Great art!!

This is beautiful! I was looking through your gallery and saw the newer eagle image Canyon Flight ... the wings on that eagle looks much more "real" than the wings here. More detail on the wing edges and the individual feathers. Brings it more to life. Your work is impressive! I think the Snow Leopard is one of my all time favorites. Its what I bought the DAZ calendar for!
