Description
The image is a Terragen render. It was done for my poem Desert Moon.
Comments are welcome to both.
Desert Moon
A full moon has risen,
All desert dunes are still.
Calmness of a pre-storm
Softens the night-time chill.
Nothing appears to move,
The wind is out of breath.
Rays of a weary moon,
Light up dunes of death.
A black snake glides swiftly
Upon silvery sands.
And a lonely field mouse,
wandering through dry lands.
Intense winds start blowing,
Sweeping eternal mounds.
The secrets of the night
Exposed now with the sounds.
Altering shape of sands,
The wind retreats at last.
A full moon shies away,
Night at length has passed.

I enjoyed this poem on the first reading, and it is no less a pleasure the second time around. The accompanying picture is just perfect for the poem and points the mood and atmosphere of your words beautifully. Mike
