Description

"All good art is abstract in its structure." ~ Paul Strand

I would not presume to say this is good art, but it is certainly abstract. Though this looks like some sort of fractal, it is actually based from a single photograph and then manipulated in Photoshop. No exotic filters were used, just the basic feature set and commands. Would anyone care to hazard a guess as to what the original image was and what I might have done to it? The details will be revealed tomorrow. -----

Thank you for your heartfelt comments on my last upload, thumb_1319753.jpg Three Years Your words mean a lot to Lisa and myself.

All good art is abstract in its structure. ~ Paul Strand That is because Art itself is an abstraction. It exists only within the confines of the Human Mind... and this kaleidoscopic image certainly qualifies!

I'm probably way off but it reminds me of those beaded door 'curtain' thingies.Anyway, what it is doesn't matter nearly so much as that I think this is out-standing.I really love this,Kortalouche.Bravo on your creativity and your wonderful eye.Brilliant work,my friend!-M :^)

What a gorgeous abstract! Why would this not be art? It is your creation. Looking forward to discovering the answer as I don't have a clue to what this may be and how you reworked it?

Well, it sure ain't no cucumber slice! Hmmmm, perhaps a perforated toilet seat? I would think some kind of material. It is so marvelously ghost-like in effect... Oh well, great composition and Photoshop manipulation!!!

I can't make out the image, but I would hazard to guess, that you started with a photo, or piece of a photo, looks like it had a good specular light on it? Then you brought it into Bryce, or some other program, and used the image as a texture? What do we win if we're right? ; ) As a stand alone image, I like it!! Has a Star Trek look to it!!
