Description

Please see the full view because the smaller version (this one) filters out all the little details of the rendering. Also note: I created this image in 2002. Rendered in 3DSMAX and consisting of over 7 million polys and hundereds of textures. The MAX file alone is over 120 MB. It was rendered in a single pass using no background image. This is fully 3D with NO PHOTOSHOP retouching or editing. Straight out of the 3DSMAX video post, scanline renderer. This rendering is inspired by a scene in novel I've been working on, I spared "no expense" on this scene. My objective on this one was not just to create a cool cityscape but a world you almost want to "jump" into. I want the viewer to look at this a say, "There are many stories to be told in that scene." Not just one story but the stories of many, just like any real city would have. I added some "icing" by adding a little social commentary and some shameless product placement.
