Description
The coastline just off the road to the Isles has loads of these little beaches hiden away.
(The film "Local hero" was filmed near here. Burt Lancaster must have seemed a bit out of place as he went about the single track roads in his big white Limo!)

Memories of summer holidays near Arisaig! Endless, white beaches, incredible things washed up in the tides, canoeing in the sea, cooking gritty mussels, wellie boots and rain, hissing gas lights. Thanks for stirring that up in my mind with this photo. Scotland's best kept secret these beaches!

How is it that such a beautiful beach is so empty? It would be so wonderful to walk there and discover all the tiny treasures the sea has gifted the shore there! A wonderfyul walk in the sunshine smelling the salt and the spray! Thanks. MMMM! Fresh air! BJ

It does seem like a nice spot to enjoy the beach without worrying about being crowded out by all the other people there.
